In this decision, the complainant, a young female waitress was awarded €2,500 for sexual harassment after it was found that the respondent employer had made comments such as “your ass is too sexy” or your ass is too nice”.
It was also found that the respondent had no policies and procedures in respect of dignity and respect at work and had provided no training to staff in respect of the effects of sexual harassment, harassment or bullying on others.
