Landlords should be aware once again that failure to accept a tenant simply because they are in receipt of Housing Assistance Payments (“HAP”) may lead to a finding of discrimination under the Equal Status Acts 2000 (as amended).In this case the tenant was awarded €4,000 for discrimination.
