Hotline.ie annual report 2012 – Increase in reporting of illegal content on the internet

Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence, Alan Shatter recently launched the the Annual Report for 2012 for Hotline.ie on April 29th 2013.The Hotline.ie service was established in 1999 to allow the public to report any illegal content inclduing child pornography on the Internet in an anonymous and secure way. According to Mr Shatter, the number of reports received by concerned individuals for 2012 was up on 2011 figures by 20 per cent.A full copy of the press release is linked here.
