For those who are interested, the Department of Social Protection recently updated its code of practice for assessing bogus self-employment, to incporporate the 2023 Supreme Court decision regarding Domino’s Pizza drivers.
This new code, which replaces the previous one from 2001, emphasises the Karshan ruling, which declared Domino’s delivery drivers as full employees entitled to benefits, and not self-employed contractors.
